Bateau Mouche IV

In the 1989, the Bateau Mouche IV ship departed full of passengers to celebrate the new years’s eve at Copacabana Beach. The ship sank in Guanabara Bay causing the death of 55 passengers.

RBNA Consult was part of the investigation team. Although the ship had all its documents in order, investigationsindicated maintenance shortcomings, changes in the original project without verification and overcrowding. The results indicated in the technical report were used to support changes in the legislation for passengers vessels.
